Biography
Wanda Raysor, was a member of the Bible Way Church in New rochelle and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, august 19, 2009, at home in Mount Vernon, NY where she passed from renal failure. She was 76 years old and lived at this residence for 13 years, She was born on December 25, 1932. In Bristol, TN to Author and Daisy Lyerly. she remained there with her other siblings, until relocating to New rochelle, NY. There is where she met Willie Raysor, they were married in Decemeber 6, 1950.
In 1961 the two moved to Yonkers, NY and then on to Mount Vernon, NY where they both lived out their years." Wanda was a loving housewife and very talented seamstress, needlepoint worker and cook. she was very devoted to her children and became a mother to many throughout the neighborhood. To say that she was loving isputting it rather mildly; she was what one would call selfless. Always placing other first, even to the end."
Her greatest passion in life was the Lord and she didn't mind letting you know it. To every person that she ever touched, she bacame what they needed at that time. And before they would depart they would certainly know about Jesus. The last words that, she ever spoke was to tell someone about the fear of the Lord. what a wonderful way to go home."
Mrs. Raysor's spouse precede her in September 2001. She is survived by 3 children out of eight. Craig raysor (Virginia) Eric Raysor(Texas) and Ruth Raysor (Georgia). Wanda had 24 grandchildren. she also had five children which precede her in death; Valerie Raysor, Billy Raysor, Steven Raysor, Trougette Raysor and Carminthia Raysor.
