Gloria Jean (Rodgers) Humphrey, 58, died suddenly on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown.
She was born in Norristown on May 10, 1951, a daughter of the late William M. and Margaret L. (Myers) Rodgers. She was the wife of Frank Humphrey.
Mrs. Humphrey was a lifetime Norristown area resident, most recently residing in West Norristown Township. She was a 1969 graduate of the former Norristown High School.
She was active with the Dramateurs and the Methacton Community Theater and the S.C.A. While her children were growing up, she served as president of the parents associations of both Hancock Elementary School and Eisenhower Middle School in Norristown.
Mrs. Humphrey was employed by the Giant Food Store in Audubon as a cashier.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Heather Lynn Pollins of Jeanette and Shannon Michelle Humphrey of Norristown; a sister, Patricia Korlaet of Cape May, N.J.; and one grandson.
