Biography
JACK WITMER
Jack Davis Witmer died in October of 2005. He was 54 years old. Jack was born in Motour County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Nevin D Witmer & Ethel M (Miller) Witmer. He was the youngest of two brothers. He is survived by his beautiful daughter & granddaughter, and his son who has the adventures of a lifetime ahead of him.
Jack graduated from the Dauphin County High School System of Pennsylvanis and later studied electronics at a the DeVry Institute of Illinois. At the age of eighteen, Jack joined the Navy. He served aboard the USS Columbus, a cruiser with the hull designation GC12. Long since decommissioned, detail of it's missions and photographs of the ship can be found in naval archives. He received a military discharge under honorable conditions as a Vietnam era veteran with a Meritorious Unit Commendation.
His final resting place is the Rolling Green Cemetery in Pennsylvania, the land where he was born and raised. A bronze military marker attest to his existence. 1951 - 2005
