Mary Jane was a talented artist who loved to paint and sculpt. She loved to listen to classical music, especially Wagner and operas.
She graduated from Port Colborne High School in _______. She was very excited to move to Toronto to attend the University of Toronto, Victoria College. She graduated with her Masters in Social Work and taught school at ___________ School for one year (?)
Mary Jane met David Jackson at university and they were married on September 10th, 1955. Mary Jane and David moved to Chicago where she worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker while David attended the University of Chicago to attain his PhD in psychology.
Edward (Ned) Roswell Jackson was born on March 12, 1962 and brought great joy to Mary Jane's life. In 1965, the family returned to Canada and moved into 131 Bedford Road. To Mary Jane and David's dismay, they were not able to have any more children so in 1967 they adopted Milo Hughes Jackson, born on December 14, 1966.
After the breakup of their marriage, Mary Jane remained at 131 Bedford Road until her passing in Veradero, Cuba while on vacation. She could often been seen sitting in the back garden with the lovely cobblestone walkway. An avid antique collector, Mary Jane always was able to find a great deal. The cobblestone walkway and fence at 131 Bedford Road were the former cobblestones of a downtown Toronto street.
