Doc Larsen always had a huge grin on his face and was ready to give out hugs. He was a real cowboy gentleman and gave so much to all of us who enjoy the trails up Little Tujunga Canyon and beyond. I'll miss hearing his stories and jokes. I'll miss seeing him out on the trails. We'll never forget you, Doc!

My husband and I got engaged on the Doc Larsen Trail 14 years ago. I can't wait for the day when the trail reopens and we can take our daughters riding that same trail. Thank you Doc for all the wonderful memories that your hard work created for us, and thank you Sammy for supporting his work out there. You truly were a blessing to the equestrian community and will be greatly missed.
