I enjoyed some heartfelt, true belly laughs when listening to Doc's stories and enjoying his sense of humor. He had a joy of living. I especially loved it when Burt Bonnett and him would get together. They would sit next to each other, talk, yell, say" what he say?" and laugh, truely enjoying each others company. I always felt I was in the presence of legends and grateful I was there. Doc will truely be missed. May his memories bring comfort to his family and friends who love him beyond words.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Doc Larsen but I love the work he did on the upper Doc Larsen Trail. Thank you for giving us a peaceful place to escape reality.

Ed & I met Doc Larsen & his wife on our way to the upper Doc Larsen trail one day. We were so impressed they were still riding. We want to be like them. Before that I met him when my little Arab & I took a break on the upper Doc trail. I had a nice little chat. He showed me the lion claw marks in the tree. I was impressed that he was still out there taking care of the trail & making sure our horses had "cool water" to drink. That was only about 6 yrs. ago. We are so relieved he went peacefully. We will remember him fondly everytime we're on his trail.
