Mr. Smith,
You have no idea how much you impacted my life. You were one of the greatest teachers I ever had, and I am soglad that I had you to go to when I needed advice or just when I needed someone to talk to. I hope you are happy in heaven. I will miss you so much, but I always feel better thinking about when we will see each other again, because i know in my heart that I will see you again. You are such a good person, and you will be missed terribly.
All My Love, and RIP

He was our favorite teacher and taught us a lot. We were lucky to have him as a great leadership teacher in 6th grade! We miss him so much :(

Norm, as I began to think of just how much of an impact you’ve made on my life, I was reminded of a poem that was credited to Ralph Waldo Emerson entitled “The Definition of Successâ€â€¦ I could not help but think that it was written about you, my friend…
To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children…
To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends…
To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition…
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation…
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived…
This is to have succeeded…
From where you are now, look around… there are so many lives that you have touched here at Gerstell and outside of this school… and we are ALL much better people because you have lived. Thank you for all you have done; know that all you have accomplished will not be for naught; your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew you forever.
Well done good and faithful servant" - Matthew 25:21
You, my friend, will be sorely missed…
