Came to this site this morning to get closer to daddy. He passed on exactly 1 year, 5 months and ten days ago. Every now and then I break down in tears. I miss him so much. Wish I could talk to him at times. I pray God to strengthen us all. I love you daddy, more than I can say. Adieu

We are so sorry to hear of my friend and mentor's passing away. It is quite by chance I Googled his name this afternoon. As a young doctor, I worked with Dr Akpabio at the Port Maria Hospital in the mid-70s. All of us, his colleagues, patients and friends loved him for his warmth, honesty , humanity, genorosity of spirit and an impish sense of humor .He was a good teacher and a loyal friend. He taught me so much. Sadly, I lost track of him after he returned to Nigeria.
I recall Uduak as a young girl and Eddie's nephew [ Emanuel, who was studying pharmacy]. I often thought about you all, and wondered how Eddie was doing.
My wife Annie and I would like to convey our condolences to Eddie's family. Eddie' everyone who knew you will miss you. I would like to get in touch with any of Eddie's family members.

My deep condolences to my very close friend Uduak Edward Akpabio and her entire family for the sudden passing of Dr. Akpabio. Dr. Akpabio was a very cheerful and lively person and always welcomed me and my family warmly whenever we stopped by at his compound in Ukana. He will be greatly missed.
