I met Konji through our mutual friend Walt when I was living in Atlanta. We became good friends and not too long ago he lent his voice to one of my podcasts, a sci-fi/comedy show. He had a great sense of humor and was a natural voice actor. I'm going to miss him a great deal! I've put together an audio piece in his memory including clips from some of the work we did together over Skype: http://www.everyworldnews.com/2010/02/in-memoriam-konji-harrison.html

How do I say goodbye? I met Konji in 1990 at UNCC. We were two members of a tight group of friends that looked out for each other. I had to leave UNCC in 1992 and hadn't seen or talked to him since, until I discovered Facebook almost a year ago. Seeing his infectious smile again and hearing the passion and love that he had for his wife made me proud. You don't find that everyday in young men. I looked forward to reading his post and always agreed with him when he said "I'm Winning!" To his beautiful with Nisha, whom I never met but wish I had, I pray that God cover you in His grace, peace and understanding. Times like these are difficult and the words that most people think are comforting-really aren't, so I'll just say that I'll keep uplifting you in prayer. May God continue to Bless You and the rest of your family. You WON Konji!!!!

I didn't know Konji but for a moment, he made an notable inpression on me at our last toastmasters meeting, when I informed him an others that I had to deal with my wife and her illness, it was'nt so much what he said but it was what he was doing, I could tell that Konji was a man that people would notice when he walked in a room, his presents was like a spot light even though he wasn't pushy, I wanted to know Konji and the new spirit that brought to tastmasters, I could tell that because of his presents this organization would bloosom, he gave us the swagger I knew was needed, on my return, he proved me right, I saw the new members, I noted that the tone that I saw when Konji was president had been in planted into a people, I was shocked to here of his illness, I did so much want to see that smiling face, but I still will hold on to the one he placed in my heart, "Yo KONJI she came through it and she is Cancer free", To his family, to his friends and to his wife and baby girl doggie, I offer my profound heart to you, konji left a his inprint in the toastmasters organization, and he left one with me. I missed the oppourtunity to fellowship with you I really Do.

I had the honor and was grateful to get to know Konji through Linda Ahn, Maryrose Solis and Raquel Hernandez. At many of the Chadswoth wine socials, Super Bowl parties, MNF watch parties and the Decatur Wine Festival to name just a few, I always remember a smiling, outgoing, and super engaging friend named Konji. Whether it was a great big smile, a heartfelt hug, a fist bump or a head nod, Konji ALWAYS acknowledged everyone's presence. Never have I met and gotten to know a person who could just light up and in a wonderful way commanded a room with the soft and ease in which Konji did so. With grace, humility, kindness and humor, this man I got to know over three plus years was the kind of human being that every individual wants to call a colleague, college roommate, teammate, friend, son, and husband. We will always cherish the memories of our time together Konji, you get a head start on being an angel watching over your loved ones, but we will all reunite again and until then we will celebrate you, remember you and be there for your wife Nisha and your respective families. Rest in peace my friend, you are at home with the Lord now.
