Terry was my precious little brother. He was always kind and did for others more than for himself. When we were little, we had only one extra bedroom, so we took turns using it. Most of the time, he slept on the couch in the living room and let me have the bedroom. As an adult, we would talk long distance...he in Colorado, me in Texas.... We would talk about things that were concerns on our minds. He would always say, "Let's pray about it now." And, we would, over the phone, long distance. God understood. It was always comforting to me. We never lived near one another as adults. So our little times together were few. I am sorry that I missed knowing hime more closely.

There are so many things of Dad to recall and too many to write, of retaining walls and shrubbery, of brakes and carburaters, of nails and sawdust, of camping fires and fishing rods; and of hard work to provide and sacrifice for others, of loving, serving and listening. He was quiet and steady, methodical and patient, gracious and thoughtful. I've realized how much Dad taught me, even when he wasn't trying too; how much influence Dad has in the way I am and live, even today. I see him in the mirror, I see him in my sisters, I see him in my daughter and her cousins. This is Easter morning, the day we celebrate resurection and life and even though Dad is gone from us, for now, it is with hope I look foward. I miss you, Dad, I love you, and I'll see you real soon.

Terry was such a sweetie all of his life. He was the kindest person, always there for counseling when I was troubled or would say a prayer with me over the phone. Terry's likes were more like mine than my other dear siblings. He enjoyed camping, hiking, four-wheeling and spending time at our cabin. Jim taught him to fish and ski and Terry seemed to think of Jim as a big brother. As adults, we spent many hours playing board games. I miss him so much.

Terry may have been my little brother, and loved as such, but he was also many times my counselor, my spritiual mentor, and a living example of a Christian Gentleman. His passing left his brothers and sisters with an ever-aching void in our hearts. He was so loved by us all.
